The Personal Wealth Management Service

The Personal Wealth Management Service is recommended for clients who require a bespoke, highly focused financial planning service.

Although most wealth managers and advisers tend to focus just on monetary issues, accumulating wealth in isolation should not necessarily be the sole objective. In our view it is just as, if not more important, to understand what can be realistically achieved in terms of lifestyle from capital and income.

We discuss with clients what they would like to achieve, what they are working towards and how they really want to live their lives.

Through careful analysis of future cashflow requirements, surplus assets can often be identified, leading to alternative opportunities, which might include:

· The age retirement can realistically be considered to secure invaluable extra years of leisure.

· Increased sustainable levels of expenditure.

· To what extent financial assistance can be provided to the family which can often lead to a more fulfilling life.

Through careful analysis of objectives and available resources, together with those anticipated in the future, the required net investment return and therefore associated level of investment risk can be identified.

Financial planning should be viewed as a ‘work in process', since inevitably there will be changes in personal circumstances, economic conditions and taxation. By regularly reviewing financial and lifestyle plans this should increase the prospects of objectives being met and reduce the likelihood of any ‘nasty surprises'.

The Personal Wealth Management Service fee

The Personal Wealth Management Service fee is based on the value of assets under management and this provides a clear, known cost:

· Up to £250,000                                1.00%

· £250,000 to £500,000                    0.75%

· £500,000 to £1,000,000                 0.50%

· Over £1,000,000                              0.35%

The fee is tiered and reduces to reflect the economies available for larger funds under management. For example, if we are managing £300,000, the first £250,000 attracts a fee of 1% and the additional £50,000 a fee of 0.75%. The minimum fee for this service is £2,500 p.a. Additional services and advice are charged on a time basis or at a fixed rate. Details of fee rates are available on request.
